Night Time Temperature Drop for my baby Argus monitor??

susanpearl Feb 16, 2004 09:34 PM

Hi Everyone,

I can't seem to find any information on night time temperature drops for argus monitors. I've seen several caresheets stating that the hot spot should be around 110-120 degrees.

I would like to provide a night drop for my baby argus. My first question is simply, do you think it is necessary? If so, what should I drop the temp. too?

Thanks,

Susan P.

Your basking temps could stand to increase by 10-20deg, and you can safely drop their NTL to the 60's or normal room temps, unless you leave the windows open or live in an igloo!

How do you like your little one, I'm getting one next week. I've searched around on all the major monitor sites. Temps of 70-75 degrees seems pretty universal for nighttime temps, so long as proper basking site temps of 110-135 degrees were available. Don't take my word for it though as most of my experience is literary in context. Pro Exotics has a nice links page, if you haven't already check out www.pizards.com, Goodluck, Clint
