Will crickets survive in a 40-50 degree basement?

No. Without supplemental heat they will all die.

I agree with the other response you got. They will need some kind of heating. Maybe a UTH pad in the middle of the tank.

40 - 50 degrees is pretty darn cold and I think you would get an aweful lot of die off.
