Plywood cages

How does plywood go with regards to heat retention?

From my experience, pretty good. However, most of my plywood cages have large glass windows and lot's of ventilation. Those really determine the heat retaining characteristics of a cage more than the material.

Now if you had smaller acrylic doors and little ventilation, the cage material plays a more important role. Still, plywood is pretty good.
