Ok im not gonna promise this is going to work but it has worked for me in the past. First things first. snakes like walls so look around on the floor up against the walls and in corners, also under everything. If you still havent found him you gotta use what i like to describe as guerilla tactics. Get some of those shopping plastic bags that make alot of noise when you smash them and crumple them up in corners up against the wall also set up some pop cans and at night just turn off all the lights and when and if you hear one of them crinkling it may be him. A way of luring him in with a mouse is to get a 2 liter pop bottle. Put a few live pinkys into it and set it up against the wall (put a plastic crumpled up bag i'd say maybe 6 - 12 inches from the bottle on both sides and make sure the bottle is up against the wall) hopefully if he is hungry he will pick up the scent of the pinks. I have found luck in blacking the bottle out with masking tape. 1.) because it acts as a hide 2.) all sides of the snake will touch the inside of the bottle so it will feel more secure. (note: if it was a baby use a 20oz bottle instead of a 2 liter. good luck. hope this helps.

P.S. never give up hope... it took me 3 months to find my 50/50 cal king and i did it using the above method.

Depends on if he found a warm comfy place to hang out, and if he's hungry. If you saw him in his cage in the last day, he is likely still in your room. But they can travel through vents and under doors if there's room to squeeze under it. The plastic bags sounds like a great tip! I know my cats sure make a lot of noise with them, and I'm sure even a baby snake could make some noise with those. You might want to check your vents if you have any, and if they're big enough for him to slip into maybe you could close them or cover them somehow so he doesn't go down. And if you haven't already, keep something blocking any space under the door, and the door shut. I'm not sure, but I don't think corns do a lot of traveling in the wild with exceptions for mating males, so it's very likely you can find him still in your room, and the trick posted below sounds like a good one to try.

Good luck

it really all depends...there are many factors to consider. like for instance if I kept my door closed none of my snakes could escape through my door considering my carpet touches the bottom of the door. not even a baby snake the thing is most doors dont touch the carpet so yes it is possible it left your room. But dont look at the bad side. I have lost 3 snakes since I started collecting and the method in the previous msg worked in getting all of them back. since then I have tightened my security blanket. but seriously try the above method it does work and I wish you the best of luck. I know exactly what your going through. If you find the snake what I recommend doing is going to the hardware store and getting a piece of...(its like a weather stripping or a molding that mounts to the bottom of any door). I'm not exactly sure what its called but it works miracles. also screen off your heat vents and make sure the door stays closed at all times heh.

well in my experience it seems you need to feed babys more frequently than adults? i may be wrong but i would start the trap asap.

I've heard that corns tend to move horizontally before they move vertically. Said another way, if your tank was on a table, the corn is more likely to explore the table before he/she moves to the floor. I have also heard the it is beneficiary to line your walls with masking tape (or painters tape I think would work)sticky side out. Since the snake will likely travel along the wall, it will also likely get tangled in the tape. The other posted ideas sound a little better, though.

i agree with rae on the whole masking tape idea it does work but there is one drawback to it..masking tape..yet one of the easiest tapes to work with still sticks to itself like a fly to flypaper its harder than walking with no legs to take it off. You have to use scissors to get it off once the snake is tangled in it. its just a pain. unless your constantly using scissors i wouldnt try this method. I used to catch garter snakes with it heh
