Hey Bennett,
I would drop the extra calcium D3 sup and just stick to pellets, greens and the T rex sup. The combination of the pellets and the T rex is not "over doing it", but with an additional D3 sup, I would be a little concerned.

I threw my calcium with d3 away. The vgf and icb formulas have both in them I believe. That would definately be overdoing it in my opinion. (correct me if I'm wrong please)

I tihnk that you should throw in some crickets insted of feeding your dragon just pellets. make sure you fedd your crickets alot of food,to get them full of protien and vitimins. if you alternate the crickets and the pellets I dont think you need the vitimin d3 thing you were talking about.

I am still using about 8000 crix a week superworms roaches for added protien. That was in fact what I was reffering to regarding the calcium with D3. I am hoping to get down to under 5000 crix a week for my subs and adults. I will be experimenting however with this seasons babies raising some with NO live feeders, some with dusted roaches as the main diet and some with the combo.

I just wanted to say that Paul said the supplements (T-Rex) were meant to only be used to complete the daily intake of foods so the pellets with the dust isn't too much. I use the ICB dust everytime I feed crickets and silkies. Since I started that I have to fill the salads twice a day when they were barely eating one if they ate all of that! So, I dust the salads with the VGF once a day as well. I can't believe the difference. Good luck with your experiment this year.

The pellets are a replacement for the crickets and have plenty of protiens and stuff as a staple. The entire reason people feed pellets is to get away from feeder insects that could be hosting parasites that would be ingested by the beardie.

Second the question is regarding the amount of protiens and vitamins in the pellets and the T-Rex supplements that everyone has been switching to. Since these supplements also contain vitamin d3, calcium, and protiens he was wandering if it would be overdoing it to feed the pellets and use these supplements plus the other d3 calcium supplement all together.

What do you meen when you say that dragons don't need d3? You do of course realize that they have to have it to be able to absorb calcium for proper bone structure and growth. If your not using UVB lighting you MUST use a d3 supplement or your beardie will develope MBD or possible other complications to go along with it. Some people use both.
