Completely stunning snakes. Definately my favourite elapid but I've seen so few pictures! How do they settle to captivity, are they frisky or calm? Great to see more pictures of them. They're truly beautifull!

Cheers, Lee.

They look exactly like I remember them. I had a couple at the park back in '71 or '72. Fast! As friendly as a black mamba with its tail caught in a rat trap.

P. goldii is totally misinterpreted...

They are not furious beasts at all as often assumed..

The last picture I took with my hands about a foot from the snake. They are very curious snakes and always will be watching you but they are certainly not agressive at all... At least mine are not.

A mamba is much, much more nervous... P. goldii seems to see better then many other snakes I assume as when I take pictures with a flash it reacts in sudden movement to the flash. I never notived this in any other snakes.

In short.. they are very lovable and interesting snakes. They feed very well (altough only on Frogs so far) and are gentle in nature.
