well she may not want to but she may also not be ready.it might take a few times for the male to try and mate with her before she actually does it.

they went at it again but this time he let go so do you have any clue what to incabate the eggs at and if not do you know where I was thinking about sendind a letter to ask the breeder in the reptiles mag but I thought to ask you first. And also I found out how to tell males from females males get black throughts like bearded dragons ow yea and my picture of there cage will be posted in the PHOTO GALLERY but also do you think they could have been doing somthing else because I did not hibernate them

nickpurvis Feb 23, 2004 03:16 PM

well their is a good chance they bred because didnt you find them kind of hibernating.maybe im mistaken that could of been someone else.if they do lay eggs id incubate them in them like normal reptile eggs.also you might see how other people who breed lizards from the west like desert iguanas and chckwallas and possibly collareds how they incubate their eggs as whiptails come from that area.also the way people incubat racerunners eggs(the whiptail that lives in oklahoma)is in a humid atmosphere at about 81 dgrees farenhight.racerunner eggs start to hatch at 55-70 days later.hope this helps even though it doesnt realy talk specifecly about the whiptial you have but im just giving suggestions.
