Temp Guns...

carl3 Feb 17, 2004 01:48 PM

I finally broke-down and ordered a temp gun from LLL this week. I am moving this summer and will be between homes for a little while so I must constantly monitor temps. Anyone have any exerience with temp guns. I read on another thread that ProExotics provides the guns for LLL to sell and that they're pretty accurate and good quality. I also read that RadioShack sells them too (which I never knew) but for considerable more $$$. Any comments, thoughts or experiences are welcomed...

I don't know about ProExotics guns but I got the radio shack one for $29 over the holidays 2002, no shipping and still on the same batteries and love it.
Yes, Robyn at ProExotics said they supplied LLL with the temp guns so it must be the same one.
Temp guns tend to read surface temps but I love the instant knowing what things are doing and I love it to set temps on uth and for basking spots.
