Caterpillars in cricket shipment

grafitti12 Feb 17, 2004 03:49 PM

I just bought about 50 crickets for my dragon and noticed on the way home that there were two caterpillars in there. I took them out when I gave him the crickets. Are they ok for him to eat or no?

They probably not caterpillers but willy/Wooly bugs and they are edible.

I have heard of poisonous spiders in cricket shipments.

Those are safe to eat, they turn into beetles eventually. They are added to some cricket farms to eat the dead crickets.
