It's been 8 months since my veiled layed her first clutch. I'm wondering if these eggs are fertile, or am I just being impatient? Normally it takes 6-8 months right?

no, not really, thats what happened to me with my veileds, but mine hatched just fine right about now. So mine took about 10 months or something, so dont be so worried.
