Getting a tan

Has anyone noticed a general darkening of their BD with the use of a 100W (or more) "Powersun UV" bulb made by Zoo Med? Thats what I use and my guy seems to have developed a "tan"/got generally darker in color all over his body. Its not him prepairing to shed b/c he just did a few days before I got the bulb, and its only been a little over a week since I've had the bulb in. I've used the blue UVA/UVB bulbs from Zoo Med, but I never experienced this before. I'm not worried at all b/c he is fine in all aspects.
