hello, i bought my first hognose last saturday at the kentucky reptile expo. he's a small western hognose. i fell in love with him the moment i saw him. unfortunetely i forgot to ask his age. he is about a foot long and absolutely adorable. is it true that most hognose's don't get much bigger than about 3 feet?
i have him on aspen bedding w/ a cork bark hide and a bowl of fresh water. his temps are at *about* 80 during the day and 70 at night. everything sound good?
i named him 'Baja' pronounced 'baha'. i'm really excited about finally having a hognose. he has the nicest temperment of almost all my snakes. so calm and easy going.
