i don't know how relavent it is now but i heard they were illegal to have. please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong
True, currently they are illegal and USFWS has been actively enforcing this. But, once the paperwork is finally approved and the frogs start coming in from Rainer Schulte's World Bank/IFC ranching endeavor in Peru, it is expected that D. mysteriosus will be legally available. Sean Stewart is hoping that this will be a reality by this summer. Read his frog intro page for more.
