i'm planning to get a plant for my crestie enclosure from like a home depot or lowe's. Do i have to worry about any chemicals or fertilizer thats already in the soil because i don't know if they add them into their soil or not. thanks

From what I've read they usually fertilize houseplants and you should let them sit outside the cage for 4-6 weeks to let it dissapate. I don't know if they treat greenhouse plants in the same way but it really wouldn't suprise me.

"The serpent crams itself with animal life that is often warm and vibrant, to prolong an existence in which we detect no joy and no emotion. It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."

Even if there is no fertilizer there will probably be perlite.
