Hey guys, I spend most of my time in the python forums but I figured you guys would know the most about snake hooks.

I recently bought a snake hook from The Reptile Source and when I recieved it it was a peice of crap. It was a golf club with the putter cut off and a hook half-assedly glued in to it.

Anyway where do you all suggest purchasing a good snake hook without spending too too much?

Anyway I got a 4 1/2ft ball & a 4ft burmees!

I got most of my stuff from BEST Exotics since they happen to vend at my local show, and their hooks are very well crafted. Professional grade stuff does usually cost a bit. On the other hand, my favorite rattler hook was handmade and cost me $3.00...

Another place to look would be tongs.com (Midwest). Real good stuff, in my opinion.

I'll second the vote for tongs.com..Midwest Reptiles. Top quality gear. The 1.1 before a snake means one male, one female. 2.3.8 would signify two males, three females & eight animals whose sex have not been determined yet.
