New Dart Terrarium

houseofserpents Feb 17, 2004 08:07 PM

Hey everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself. I am pretty new to the whole amphibian thing. I have been working with snakes for many years and acquired a waxy monkey about 6 months ago. I became addicted. So recently I went to work on a terrarium for dart frogs. I have spent the last few weeks converting a 92-gallon corner tank into a tropical habitat. I am interested in opinions. Currently the tank inhabitants are (4) small D. auratus.

Nice, but is that a light in the tank? If so I bet it will get too hot very fast. Darts can not be over 80 for very long.

The light is a compact flourescent coil. The whole tank is fan-cooled to between 76-78.
