MBD Question

YBNORMAL2 Feb 17, 2004 08:16 PM

I have a leopard gecko that seems to be pregnant for the last couple of months. I have been dusting her food with T-Rex Bone Aid but now it seems she has a case of MBD. I have added a small dish of powder calcium for her to lick and was going to get some liquid calcium as well. Is there anything else I need to do? Even though she os lacking can she also get too much now?

It's really been awhile since this topic has come up.... First off, what makes you think your leo has MBD?

Secondly to answer your question, if I'm not mistaken, the only vitamin/mineral that is harmful to leos in mass quantities is D3...

She hasn't been herself I took her to the pet store that specialises in reptiles they said her jaw was soft and her back feet were bent. They gave her some liquid calcium. She is also very big but doesn't seem to want to lay her eggs yet they said the eggs could be robbing her calcium? I added a small dish of calcium for her to lick in addition to the calcium I dust her food with.
