A leopard gecko housing question??????????

wesley928 Feb 17, 2004 08:22 PM

as pspguy said should you keep your females all in one cage and your male in a separate one, and just introduce him, or should keep all the females in separate cages and introduce the male individually????????

I think its really just a matter of opinion. Obviously if your leos are just your lovable pets and it doesn't matter, or you aren't trying to get certain morphs, then they can be housed together. The problems just come in when you want a certain female paired with a certain male..

the farthest one on the right is the only male I have.... kind of crappy huh??!!!! It kills me to breed my other beauties with this piece of turd.

Hey, there is no leo that is a turd It takes time to build a good colony, trust me, there is no one more impatient then I am. I am getting 3 new leos in the next month or so, and they are my most expensive ones yet.

You'd be suprised what normal leos can produce!
Here is a female that I produced from 2 normals! http://www.printroom.com/ViewAlbumPhoto.asp?userid=lildawna&album_id=171440&image_id=3

And here are the parents:
Mother: http://www.printroom.com/ViewAlbumPhoto.asp?userid=lildawna&album_id=171440&image_id=5

Father: http://www.printroom.com/ViewAlbumPhoto.asp?userid=lildawna&album_id=171440&image_id=0

Boy was it a suprise seeing an abberant and a full stripe hatch out of their ONLY fertile clutch last year.

HI

It would kind of depend on if you wanted to now who he produced clutches with or not, exspecially if you also plan on introducing a different male in there at a different time.
