Desert Iguana in mid Feb

dvl Feb 17, 2004 08:37 PM

Heres the New York Desert Iguana------- he has never gone into deep hibernation like all my others have always done. Here he is catching some sun --He got out & about today. He normally stays half in his burrow but longer days & ( hopefully ) warmer temps here will bring out more critters in the next few weeks.
His hips & tail show more wear & tear than normal since he has been awake all winter and is using up that stored fat ( just like ME!)
