I was taking my fecals to a vet, who mainly does dogs & cats but also sees reptiles. Well, I had two in quarantine who didn't have normal poos,, very wet, very stinky & one was Black mud??
In any case, they kept telling me, they were clean.

I took the fecals to a reptile specialist & they were floored at how much flagylites they had!

Some times it's not worth the couple $$'s you save by going to the cheaper vet.

I would get a second opinion.

I know you were considering bloodwork a while back, just wondering what the vet said. Also, how is your beardie feeling? Is she eating any better?

well she seems to still be declining (continueing to eat about 2cc to 3cc of baby food plus maybe a bite of veggies.....she's getting very thin...and her eyes look a little shiny (plus the dirty vent)

also i can't seem to find a vet that does mainly reptiles, the one i go to raises chamealons and also keeps beardies (but i still think she may be wrong wit the sample cause the poo is all not normal)

i'll keep lookin for another vet and in the mean time i'm gonna start her on a parazap tea routine, maybe that will help her out, and also she dosen't poo that often (cause she dosen't eat that much) so its hard to get a good sample

ps. i'm holding off on the blood work for now

I was hoping she had made a turn around. You have probably already tried these but this is how a lot of people were able to find good herp vets in their area.

Also if you post your location sometimes someone from your area will rec. a vet they like.

not only do we know clinics that said there were clear when loaded with bad parasites, but one vet tech identiified bee pollen as coccidia!

Also, a fecal sample should be within 4 hours old when tested or refrigerated.

Did they tell you they saw good bacteria and fauna count?

Another thought, this dragon is new to you? Could the prior owner have treated the dragon?
