spotted albino turtle

hi there! i got a albino spotted turtle. i live in northeaster illinois. the person who has them gave it to my dad because my dad makes ponds and other garden accents. i was wondering how deep water should be. i read very shallow. how shallow is very shallow? i saw a post of turtleforum.com that someone has them but he wont show pictures. so i dont know what type of tank or whatever he has them in. can anyone help me at all? thank you!

An albino spotted turtle? Do you have any pics to show? Just wondering, how did your dads friend come acorss this?

As for the water, I would keep it as shallow as the length of his carapace. Float some plants in there (real or fake) and provide an ample basking area. Use a uvb bulb as well as a heat bulb.
