Hi I've got one of those, I've had it since last July I think. Not quite a year yet, but I recently moved from Utah to Sacramento. In the move my horny toad was bitten and injured by my Anole(don't keep them with other lizards). I took him to ther vet because he could barely move from infection. She helped me out alot, and I did alot of research. I have mine in a 40 gallon aquarium with 1-4 inches of sand a small shallow water dish(which he completely ignores). A blacklight Heating lamp that's on 24 hours a day, and a uv flouresent lamp that I run for 12 hours a day. I feed him ants from life studies(he originally came from an area that only has fire ants, and he doesn't seem to like the stings but they don't poison him)and occasionally (if I run out of ants and new ones aren't here yet) I feed him crickets. I always powder coat all his food with special reptile powder and make sure he doesn't eat sand(can cause him to be impacted) he was only an inch long when I got him and now he's 2 inches (from snout to posterior) He's doing great and I haven't noticed him wanting any water or anything, although he sometimes he digs in the sand with his arms like he is looking for something (again where he came from there is almost no rainfall and very dry). Any way he does great but spends about 23 hours a day under the sand when he is full.
