Very Yellow Retic *PICS*

FELIPE Feb 18, 2004 12:01 AM

Hi, I got this little girl back in November from NERD. She's one of the offspring from their "Weird" male. Even if the weird trait doesn't prove out genetic, I won't be dissapointed! This is an exceptional yellowhead! They get more and more yellow with each shed and the contrast is incredible. The underside of the tail is even colored with orange and yellow.

Thanks,
Phil

Thanks for the compliments. Have you looked into any of the dwarves? Here's one of my Jampeas. Very busy pattern. Must be confusing for a predator. It even confuses me sometimes!

Thanks,
Phil

Wow, she is looking absolutely awesome Phil! Im glad you like her so much. I still cant get over the coloration that seems to appear once they get a little bit of size on them.

Thanks Andy. Do you know what country the mother originates from? The male was from Malaysia right? I just can't figure out where the yellowhead influence comes from.
Thanks,
Phil

I believe the mother is half ambon.

Some of the babies from that clutch had screaming yellowheads like yours there, and others were silver heads. Not many inbetween the two. They were either really orangish yellow in pattern with screaming heads, or beutiful light silver animals.
