Shedding and lighting questions.

emumaster17 Feb 18, 2004 12:10 AM

Ok, first question. Will a Plexi-glass top filter out UVB.
Next, Is shedding under the arms and tail normal? Ive had two RES for about a year and a half and they never shed before.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes, plexiglass filters out the UVB. Skin shedding is usually a sign that your sliders were overfed, mine shed if they get an unusually large meal. It can also we a sign that the water is too warm or dirty.
