For Wingert: Some limited knowledge on a great species.

From what I know on Kimmies:

They live as long as other monitors if you keep up on their calcium and don't terrify the crap out of them every day.
I supplement every last piece of food they get, every time, that is integral. The females will get mbd if you don't supplement.

People kill them for that reason and so they have a reputation for a short life span in captivity.

Just set them up like ackies, don't handle a whole lot and supplement. oh yeah, keep them hydrated. I don't mean high cage humidity, but spray their cage every other day (atleast I do) and give them a water bowl with fresh water. They WILL dehydrate.

I am incubating a new clutch now, if you have any other questions, my number can be found under the contact link on my site or you can chat with us there on the forum.

All the advice you will need.
