Thanx for the input, the lights on the inside is probably the way I'll go I see it in alot of pictures, I will try to unscrew my 45 halogon w/ it on. I just always assumed it would be to hot for the critters if they ever came into contact w/ them. You know,i have a spare bedroom where I grow plants/vegs. w/ a 1000 watt high pressure sodium lamp. This is where they should be, but
this headache is just so I can have them in my bedroom so I can observe them more. Common sense would have to dictate I'm a retard hey. I don't know what route I'm going to go yet, at some point a guy has got to look at the monetary aspect of all this. If I go with radient heat or even the ceramic I should also have aa thermostat set up for each. That is getting expensive, How does the 24/7 light scheme work in regards to breeding. That may be the route for me, a curtain setup to block all the lite at nite is going to be a lot cheaper than a pair of panels and thermos by far. I'll have the cages setup this weekend. All I have to do is decide on is the supplemental heat source if any now if I go 24/7. Thanx for all the ideas you may have saved my bank account a hefty withdrawl. Later, Clint

. lol. argus are great animals with a good amount of attitude. they will use any size cage you give them (i.e. bigger the better) follow basic husbandry and you are in. they like to dig alot, provide more than a foot of dirt. feed adults f/t mice, they eat them well and they are the perfect size prey for an adult.
