What would be Leo Heaven?

LinsZoo Jun 09, 2003 09:59 AM

My daughter has a Leo up in her room, she has had her well over a year. She is hardly ever home now and I think life must be very boring now. Can someone descibe the perfect home for one? I am going to bring her down here and want to give her the perfect enviroment. Can I get some help? Should her cage be longer than tall? Can she have real plants? If so what kind? Would she like a little pond? Humidity? Just a red light? Heating? Tell me everything. We are starting all over with her.
Thanks in advance!
Lin

i have one of my males in a 20 gallon long
i have "reptile" carpet as the base substrate with some tile covering bits of the cage. where his pooing station is i have papertowels there. a moisthide on the hot end of the cage along with a dry hid, also a dry hide on the cool end, small waterdish i have one thats made of real rock. a fooddish and a bottle lit with calcium in it,
i have a 75 watt light one the hot end but im going to switch to a UTH, because they like belly heat more.
ive herd of using lizard hammocks in their cage, i havent tried it but id be concerned on them catching their claws on the mesh, but if you can make one with out the mesh ithinks it would be better.
i also have a piece of grape vine in the cage so it looks pretty and gives my cute boy something to excersise on

hope this gives you some ideas
