When I see geckos for sale, they always have numbers before there name (ex:1.2, 2.1.1, etc...) what do these numbers mean?

When I see geckos for sale, they always have numbers before there name (ex:1.2, 2.1.1, etc...) what do these numbers mean?
Male.Female.Unsexed
1.2.1 would mean one male, two females and one juvenile or unknown sex.
