how are the texas leucistic rats tempers? I mean do they strike alot? also how big do they get. See im planning on picking up a russian but I also like the texas leucistic rats any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance.

oh wait forgot to ask...are there any rats that like to climb besides the rhinos?

Regarding the climbing, I used to have an Everglades that seemed to spend all of it's time perched or climbing. Loved that snake - still my favorite NA "ratsnake".

Texas Ratsnakes can be rather "difficult" sometimes (I live in their range and see at least 100 per year). I have seen some captives that were dogtame and caught some wild ones that were the same way. It varies from snake to snake, but on average, I would say they are, on average, slightly feistier than an Everglades or Yellow Rat. You can get one and tame it down.

All the obsoleta rats (Everglades, Yellow, Black, TX, Gray) like to climb and spend a considerable amount of time in trees in the wild.
