Vet Trip....

Zoolady Feb 18, 2004 01:23 PM

Well, Took my girl to the vet yesterday. And she is ALL CLEAR of any parasites. Internal and external. And quite healthy!
She had mites when I first got her, but other than that nothing. And I used a reptile safe mite killer in her bedding to kill them off when I first brought her home, and picked off the ones I could see.
So even though she was wild caught, no internal parasites.

Good to know it's in good, healthy shape. Perfect specimen for a test with a stun gun.

zoolady Feb 18, 2004 04:50 PM

Oh you are ask'n for it aren't you!?
And what shape are you in?
Well, I am sure of one thing. You have lived alot longer than she has, and you say you have all theese animals, so you can't be in too bad of shape! And seeing how you are older, stronger, and in my opinion, smarter than she is I think it is only fair that we try it on you......at least 10 times to make up for how it would feel to her....and if you die....well, at least you made it to adulthood.
It just wouldnt be fair to her to have to die at such a young age, when you got to live so long and do all you have done with your life. Siren says you are selfish.
And when she gets your age she is going to escape and hunt you down and stun you to death.
Then..eat you.
What? You dont believe me? I have animal telepathy! lol
Your too funny.
What state are you in? Just curious.

Well, I've lived so long 'cause I've managed to avoid stun guns. I don't think I like that idea of zapping me 10 times. Maybe your anaconda and I should call a truce. I still think they might be an effective tool against a large anaconda, seriously, but, I guess we'll never know (since you are being so uncooperative). Oh well... I live just outside of Houston, in the backwards state of Texas. Regards.

P.S. I went to the pet store yesterday to get a rat for my anaconda, but they were out of them. If you ever want to get rid of those plump, juicy ferrets or sugar gliders, let me know.
I'll find something to do with them...

Would a stun gun even effect a snake? Are there scales capabable of conductivity? Human fingernails are bad conducters, so would snake scales also be pretty bad at it? Poor comparison, but not much else to go on, as far as humans to snakes. I hear the stories of snakes in computers, and junk like that, but how many are true? and who is to say the snake wasnt just wet, water or other. I knew a few guys that worked for the Eletric company, and they were always finding snakes around the stuff, for heat reasons, but they never mentioned a deep fried one.

Also, if your going to test the stun gun theory on something, and I will get heat for this, but test it a stupid Ball Python. See have fast it curls up after a few shocks, that would be interesting, and film it, so everyone else who hates Ball Python can watch it. Yes, I am sure your(as in everybody) Ball Python is great and the exemption of the rule, but I have yet to see a Ball Python with half a brain.

Those are some of the good questions I'd like to get answered, but zoolady just won't cooperate. You could be right, perhaps a stun gun wouldn't have much affect on a scaly snake. That's why we need zoolady to try it out. I've never seen such a stubborn, persistent female.

I appreciate your comments about ball pythons, but in all honesty, the real scientifc question here is whether a stun gun would cause a large 100 pound plus anaconda to release you if you had it constricting you. So, I guess I'll spare my ball python on this issue.

NOT BUDGING!!!! [-(
But I'll take that as a compliment. :D

Anyhow, mine isnt a hundren lbs. yet! So why not a ball python? Why you want to pick on the sweet smart loving Siren? You big bully.

Well, I wouldnt feed it a sugar glider since they are smaller than a rat...more like a large mouse.
And my ferrets........no...just no. :P
But I DO breed my own rats. I have about 50 right now.
Used to live in Texas. I miss it. Idaho suks.

I'd trade you Texas for Idaho any day.

There was this guy in court for killing and eating a bald eagle. The judge is about to sentence him, but pauses and says "We take the killing of protected species very seriously here. But, I'm curious, what does a bald eagle taste like?"
The defendent, thinking for a moment, says "Well, its kinda stringy and tough, like a manatee, but, it has a nice flavour much like a sea turtle".
