Yeahhhhh, eggs

doret Feb 18, 2004 02:24 PM

I didn't really expected this from my 1˝ year old dragon but I'm so proud of her!

I have a question about the breeding temperatures. I've once read that higher temperatures will give more men and lower, more female.
Does anyone know if that's truth?

Are they fertile?
I have 8 eggs in the incubator right now that are due on feb 27th (folloing the 65 day rule) they are 55 days old today and all of them have grown i imagine at least twice the size in girth and a little in length, not once have any of them gone yellow, grew mold or anything, theyve stayed a nice bright white color the whole time so i think my temps and humidity are good, i keep them at around 84-88 degress and 80 for humidity, id like it to be more humid but i acnt get it up higher and i dont want to drown them by constantly misting them, but either way mine are doing good like this so good luck

I did't breed the eggs this time.
Probably they were fertile because she's together with 2 male.

Good luck with the eggs

if the eggs do not have indentations, then the humidity is fine. If you make sure that the eggs are 70-80% covered by the substrate they'll have an easy time hatching. Too often fertile eggs fail to hatch because the ends, were they cut through at, have become too tough with the exposure to air. Making sure that the ends are buried will ensure that they are soft an easy for them to cut.
