No Adeno virus........

snakecharmed Feb 18, 2004 03:00 PM

Hi everyone,
so sorry that I haven't updated everyone, we have had a sickness in the family and out of town alot. Just an update to let everyone know that it turned out not to be adeno virus, but something that I'm sure that we are all familiar with, cage carpet! After I took them off of the carpet, the babies started improving and the 2 that were at deaths door made a complete recovery! I'm so relived to know that it's not adeno, I just wish that I knew it was the carpet sooner. No matter how many times you wash the cage carpet, it still releases harmful dyes....I had no idea, I thought surely if it was sold on the pet market that it was safe, but I was wrong! I had also heard many people talk about how great it is, it turns out that it's not so great! Please, anyone that is using cage carpet, get rid of it! As much as I hate the appearance of news paper, that is what I am now using for my young dragons. Thanks to everyone that helped me through this, it's greatly appreciated! I'm going to try and post some pics of the "miracle babies" in a few days. Thanks, Christy
