Question about Veiled lifespan

Birdhead1982 Feb 18, 2004 03:35 PM

I am thinking about adopting a 3 year old male Veiled Chameleon, and i am curious about how long they normally live for. Ive read up quite a bit aboput them, but nobody seems to mention this. Thank you.

If you are adopting him, be sure that he is healthy, as many chameleons are put up for adoption because they have a medical problem. If he is in good health, and you keep him like that, he can live anywhere from 6-10 years, depending on the quality of care, and depending on how long he was supposed to live in the first place (much like humans, some chameleons weren't built to live past 6 or so years, while others will live for a max. of 10 years).

i made a misatke there, i meant that humans are sometimes not meant to live longer than others, not that humans sometimes live 6-10 years...
