I have been giving my male veild grape tomatoes lately...to hydrate him a little more and since he is shedding he does not want to eat crix. Are these grape tomatoes bad for him... if not how much is ok to give him??

I've never heard of tomatoes being bad for a veiled. I'm suprised though that one would be able to eat a grape tomato as they are a fairly tough fruit. In my experience, I've found that veileds prefer leafy greens. These include collard greens, spinach, kale (that green stuff restraunts put on your plate for decoration, supermarkets sale a more edible kind). Your local supermarket sales all kinds of good green stuff that veileds will gobble up. Also, be sure to wash any produce that you feed your veiled, that goes for the grape tomatoes as well as they might still have pesticides on them.
Good luck.
I used to feed my veileds cut up tomatoes (the regular kinds) and they loved them. They preferred the tomatoes to the greens and crix.
Funny animals.

Thanks Everyone.. I usually cut the grape tomatoes up into 4 pieces so it is easier for him to eat.
