not sure about the sex on my henkeli

Scaley_Pimp Feb 18, 2004 04:19 PM

i have a definite male, but the other i'm not too sure of. i was told it was incubated for female, and it was one of the nicest patterns i'd seen so i got "it". its abuot 7 inches now, and it looks like its starting to sprout those little white "things" under its tail, but cant tell if the hempinal bulges are getting any bigger. i tried takin a pic but my camera gets too fuzzy and the gecko can't sit still long enough. can anybody help me? -thanks

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if your henk is 7in. you would definately see the hemipenal bulges...

yep it sounds like a female. mine is about 8.5 total length and she has white "things ", under the tail but no bulges. i have a question though, i did not know you could tsd the eggs of uroplatus because of the high temps that are needed to produce males will kill them so how did they know that it was tsd for a female?

I have never heard of TSD of Uroplatus eggs either...
