Color Morph Question -Brian LCRC

Brian-SFCRC Feb 18, 2004 06:06 PM

Hello,

I have a rescued, S. Florida Iguana so I don't know her background. She is a sub-adult and is striking-unlike any green Ig I have seen (I have have seen alot since 1966). She is a DEEP green with a solid Turquoise head and turquoise on her dewlap. I was wondering if anyone out there is familiar with this Phenotype. I was wondering where she might hail from. Costa Rica?, El salvador? etc.

Thanks for any help.

Sincerely,
Brian

I don't have an idea, but could you post a picture. That sounds like a real interesting color combination.

Hello,

Unfortunately, I live technically in the 19th century. I don't have -nor will I ever have - the means to post a picture. If somehow-someday through someone else, I can, I will try to do.

Sincerely,

You might try this sight and see if you see any that match up in coloring.

www.kulturresor.nu/wild/wild.htm

Whoever owns the site has been compiling a collection of photos of wild iguanas from many different areas. Some of the pictures are great some aren't so clear but it might give an idea to their colorations in areas.
