Dr. Julian Lee responded...

Dr. Lee responded to my email about the cribo in his book. He said that although that specimen seemed a bit "reddish" it was not uncharacteristic of the other Yucatecan Drymarchion he found in that area. He said that the exact locality for that specimen is in his 1996 book (I have the abridged, updated version). He didn't have a copy of the book in his office but said he'd email me back with the exact locality for that animal.
In my email, I asked whether he believed it may be an intergrade but he didn't answer that question. (and the photo is just titled Drymarchon corais)

So maybe cribos with this coloration are not all that uncommon but we just don't see them because cribos from this area aren't exported for the pet trade?
Chris
