BigMac... re: the URL you posted ( anyone with this information)

Yhetti Feb 18, 2004 07:29 PM

I was looking at the site you posted and was looking at the clinical photos. When I got to the one with the Jackson's Cameleon(sp?), it stated that it suffered from osteomyelitis. I have a Uromastyx Maliensis that I beleived to be suffering from gout. Mind you he had this condition when I aquired him, so I have no background information as to when he developed this condition or the circomstances around it.

I will be the first to admit that I am not a Doc.. The information that I have been able to find on osteomyelitis is in humans, mostly diabetics. Would you happen to know a source for symptoms, diagnosing and treatment for osteomyelitis?

If it is bacterial and I can get it treated, that would be grand.
Thank you for your time.

Sorry Yhetti I'm no Doc either just a lowly Vet Tech student with some info on common bacteria.

I will check around and see if I can find anything for you regarding Osteomyelitis.

Try Melissa Kaplan's site this might provide you with some insight.

Here is another helpful link for folks with interest in how bacteria are identified.
