Hovabator help

lostkauze Feb 18, 2004 08:40 PM

I now have 4 eggs in my hovabator. The problem is, I can't get it to go below 85. So i took the red caps out, but that didnt help, so i tilted the lid, still not good enough, So now i have the two viewing windows out, and the tlid off about 4 inches, and it is steady at 80. The nozzle is all the way to decrease (cold). What do i do? i want to keep the lid and everything on, but temperatures wont allow for it.
Help?

Michael

Never had that problem. Make sure your wafer is in correctly. Also, you do know that the temp. adjuster will spin several rotations, not just 360 deg. Just keep spinning it clockwise.

Its not the turbo fan... so im guessing it is thermal air. It is turned all the way. I can spin it anymore, yet it is still too warm. Wafer?

The temp controler will keep turning and turning if yours has stoped then maybe the little metal thing attached to the temp cotrolar that looks like a screw you can turn, two parts of it stick up so you can turn it to tighen the temp controlar bar so it doesn't turn nymore when you get the temp you want.
What I am trying to say is check if yours is tightned already. Maybe that is why you can't turn it any more.
Also how are you measureing the temp?

Thanks for the help. I'll go look at it now. I use a themometer to measure the temp. Its not a fancy electronic one, its one with the red. It works great and is very accurate.
