Bairds X Corn (pic link)

Kevin Saunders Feb 18, 2004 09:03 PM

I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this in the classifieds. Don Soderburg has a bairds/corn hybrid for sale. http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=6&de=192166
It looks kinda like a very silvery keys corn to me. Personally I like the look of regular bairds better, but thought this was pretty unique.

Here's another pic of a corn X baird hybrid for you. This is an offspring from a pair of corn X baird hybrids. The parents are a cross between a Florida corn snake and a Texas Baird. I didn't do the cross nor did I produce this hybrid offspring. I was told that the offspring in the clutch can lean towards looking like the parental corn snake stock or the other way towards the parental Texas Baird stock.

Cool, any idea what it ended up looking like? I've seen a fair amount of rat crosses, but haven't seen or heard of bairds crossed with anything but corns.
