I purchased 2 FBT's. On my third visit to the pet store to puchase crickets, the pet store asked if I would take home a three legged toad. It was somewhat at a disadvantage in the store, (competing for food, etc.) They had a new shipment of FBT's and for months nobody wanted "Tripod." Matter of fact Tripod was even returned by some lady. The toad has a fourth arm that I can see moving around beneath the skin and one normal looking toe is actually sticking out through the skin. The toad was skinny, but had been eating fine and even fattened up a bit. The pet store said they had it for about 2 months. It has been eating 1 large cricket each day for me. A week ago it developed a red sore of some sort on its throat, it became fuzzy and then today the fuzz was gone and it actually looks much better. But, the FBT is now bloated looking and hasn't eaten in three days. Could water be in the body cavity from the "toe hole"? Or is this just eggs? My girls are pretty upset that Tripod might be sick.
