I did a few image searches and could come up nothing like your animal. I think unless a Cal King locality expert comes on and says yes thats how they look in a particular County you will never know for sure what its crossed with. Locality Cal Kings arent often offered so I doubt that is some odd locality. One thing I did notice is that those lateral speckles look alot like some of the white spotting you see on some striped Cal Kings. Could be just a manifestation of that as Cals are extremely variable and you can get quite bit of odd looking patterned animals. Anyway the more I look at it the less I think Outer Banks King cross but lean more towards either a pure cal with an odd pattern or a Cal with some Splendida genetics in it. Either way its a beautiful snake and should make a great pet for you.

Looks like a lampropeltis getula californiae X lampropeltis getula splendida intergrade. The California king and the desert king naturally intergrade where their ranges overlap. So technically it is not a hybrid, it is a natural occurring intergrade. Nice looking specimen too! Have fun with it and keep us posted!

Idon't know...May be a splendita intergrade...But the way the speckled areas appear is reminiscent of Jurrasic Kingsnakes. while there is no red I can see that could be the result of a stronger California king influence. I have seen locally bred examples that have simililarities. It could also be the result of a cross to a Florida ssp. You did not say if it was c/b or w/c. (I'm assuming c/b). which brings up the complaint that many have about crossing (hybridizing)snakes that are then put into the market un-IDed.

I would tend to say it was an outcrossed cal king X jungle corn/hybrid. Not knowing the background its my best guess,Jeff

Well if it's not a "outercalididabrooks" then I'd say it's a Cal. king X goini. From the few I've seen that look similar, I'd guess it was/is het for albino too. The ones I know about were the result of Albino desert Cal. X blotched king. The albinos actually look pretty cool.
Who knows?
