Painting a Background

Icarus Feb 19, 2004 01:34 PM

Does anyone have any experience painting a background into their reptile's enclosure? I would have to paint onto something, and then glue the painting into the walls of the cage intead of painting directly on the cage (as the glass is in, and it is staying in).
1) Is painting safe?
2) What would you cover the painting with so it does not get ruined by scracthing, which could also pose a problem.

Peter - Since when did they change the meaning of "for" to "from?"
Brian - They had a meeting about it last night.
Peter - Why wasn't I informed?
Brian - They sent you a card, but it said "For Peter" so you must have thought it was from yourself so... It's just easier to call you stupid.

Not an artist so i don't know much about paint. IF something hard like a piece of glass was pressed up against the painting would that make the colors/painting look bad, because you could put a piece of glass over it so your herpp can't get it.
I think there would be a market for hand painted backgrounds, or even just paintings of a natural herp habitat. Best of luck, post any pics if you decide to do it.
