Ground turkey?

steveo76 Feb 19, 2004 01:51 PM

I have a question for you all: Do any of you feed your dragons ground turkey? I've tried it a few times for my girl and she seems to like it. However, she seems to get really lazy the days following the feeding. (ie. she doesn't move much and doesn't like to eat anything for 2 to 3 days afterwards)
Is feeding her this stuff a bad idea? I do microwave it before hand and make sure it's not too hot befor I give it to her.
I may be overreacting, but I'm still new to this.

Thanks,

steve

I would treat it just like feeding mice. Once a week should be good. The reasons she eats less afterwords is that the turkey has a lot more protein and substance. Crickets are mainly just a shell and a little bit of "meat".
