A fecal question...

kdollva Feb 19, 2004 02:04 PM

Im taking my dragon to the vet for the first time (he's 7.5 months...i know...bad mommy for waiting so long) just for a check up. I wanted to take a fecal sample to have it tested....how umm "fresh" does it need to be to get good results? Usually when he has his daily baths is when he uses the bathroom and getting a sample from water can be tricky. Please advise me! Thanks guys! Your always a great help!

the fresher the better, 4 hrs. if you keep it refrigerated it can last longer

Scoop up fecal with a little water in old margerine container or something like that.
