Natural sun = calming effect for breeding season in male ig?

shortydsm Feb 19, 2004 05:03 PM

Now that the sun is coming out again, I noticed my ig is going to his usual spots by the windows to bask in the sun, and since he does this, he is no longer orange & mean! Could this be a sign that since he is noticing the seasons are changing that he could be finally getting back to normal!? Please, I hope so! It definely calms him down. My fingers are crossed...

I've noticed a distinct difference in my female 3 year old ig, when she has had natural, unfiltered sunlight, and when she has had just UVB light, on rainy/cold days. I'm glad I live in SE Georgia, it allows me to take Iggi out most every day for sunshine and exercise. She definitely loves the sun. I'm sure your male is happier (less 'mean') than he is in the house!
