Could you please do me a few things. Post some pics of your crested tank, give me an url for their caresheet, and tell me a little about your setup. I got rid of my tokays today, so I'm preparing my 16gallon tall for them. Of course it will be some time before I get them because I want this tank to be bangin...

ANd yes, I'm being lazy by asking you all of this stuff.. I'm a guy, sue me =D

Just got home from work........and very glad to be home. I hurt my hand yesterday so pardom me if my typing suicks....it absolutely hurts to type LOL
Here is the URL for a site that has some really great info. I like this caresheet.

http://www.geocities.com/geckohaven/crestedcare.html

I feed my guys a combination of the Crested Gecko Diet (a powdered formula that you mix with water) and freshly molted mealworms. Zeek and the other two are in tall tanks but i'm going to be investing in the larger reptarium screen cages soon. These geckos are experts at escape so being able to unzip a small part to get my hand in and out of the cage is what i want. They are excellent jumpers too so beware LOL.
There is supposed to be a Crested Gecko Manual out but as of yet i haven't been able to find it up here. The crested gecko forum has some WONDERFUL people always able to help. I recommend reading some of the threads in there. Yesterday i spent a few hours just reading up (haven't stopped in there in a while). Theres lots of great information.
The picture i'm posting is old but its pretty much the same. The only difference really is that the humidifier i had hooked up isn't there anymore. I took it out when i last cleaned and never put it back in. Instead i got a water drip system.

Hope that helps And be sure to post pics when you get your geckos

Hrm, I have a Lizard Lounge very similar to that, however, the sides are partially screened. I wonder if I can keep the humidity high enough for them...

Thats the reason i was reading the crested gecko forum for so long.....i was looking for just the same thing. I believe on the third page there was a post about the Reptarium screen cages and humidity. It was said that some people put a garbage bag over the back and sides leaving the top and front open. I was thinking of putting that decorative background all around the back and sides. I was also going to get a small water fall (by exo terra) for each of the cages (i'm separating the pair into their own cages since the male dropped his tail).

I'm going to try that and see what happens.....for each of them now i have a large humid hide plus i mist the tanks twice a day.

Well, I can tell you from actually using one of the ET Waterfalls, and being a salesman of one, that I'm not really impressed. I have the medium size, and it feels like I was always filling the dang thing up. I was doing some reading last night, and depending on what the humidity should be, if its over like 85 percent I think I'm going to put some drains in mine like a sump tank has. Hook up a standard humidifier on a timer to make fog like every 30-45 minutes and then just use the other as a drain into a bucket hidden under the cabinet stand. It will really just depend on what kind of readings I get...

Oh, i only wanted to get that once cause of its size. I like the look of the Zoomed one alot better and the fact it can run dry but it is so huge. I've been thinking up ways to make my own but i need it in a small unit so it can be removed from the tank/screen cage. Your idea sounds pretty cool. Make sure to post pics.....i wanna see hehe
