Shedding - panther cham.

ulvirys Feb 19, 2004 05:40 PM

Is it normal for a cham. to be inactive durring the shedding cylce? My cham. is spending the whole day at one spot, the only time he moved was to pick up crickets.

yeah , it's not too uncommon, at least from what i've seen of my two sub adult tamataves. My female will stay in one spot cept to eat or drink till she sheds, then when she is done, she is back to her normal "hissy" self.

Thank you so much for the info. How long does the shedding cycle normaly last?

1-1 days if the chams is really healthy and well hydrated. If it lasts much longer than that it's a sign that your jusbandry (and/or the cham's health) need to be addressed.

Oops. That was supposed to be "1-2" Days.
