uro cage

dragon55 Feb 19, 2004 08:01 PM

hey,

I was wondering what is the proper inclosure to house a mali uromastyx in? I've seen many people use vision cages, but is there a option other than a expensive vision cage, and if so how big would it need to be for a mali? I was just thinking something in the range of 4x2x2, but i thought i'd ask. also I've seen breeders use just large tubs for babies is this a good idea?

thanks,
aaron

a 40 gallon breeder would be fine. The dimensions are 36" by 18" and 16" high. But remeber the more space youy give your uro the happier he will be.

Quick clarification on the post above:

A 40 gallon breeder is fine for a single individual of one of the smaller species. The dimensions you listed (4x2x2) are even better!
