I wanted to know if anyone would know what sex is my tegu by looking at this pic. I want to get it a mate but i dont know the sex. If you cant sex it because of the pic, please tell me some ways to sex it OR send me a pic of a vent of a male or female so i can compare. PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!

Tegus are semi sexually dimorphic as adults. Males get larger than females and develope large jowles. That's the quickest way to tell in adults. However, another way to tell male from female is to feel either side of the tail just below the vent. Males will have what feels like a tiny bebe under the skin at either side of the tail just under the vent. That's the way I use to sex mine. Hope this helps.
